You’re on your computer anyway, so why not earn some extra cash while you’re at it? These are my 6 favorite ways to make money online. Some are effortless (surveys and cash back) while others take a bit more effort but allow you to grow your skills to become a money making machine from the comfort of your laptop.

1. Online surveys
Online surveys are a great way to earn a few extra bucks each day, and this really adds up! You can usually find surveys that pay $1-2, and most survey sites pay with Amazon gift cards or directly to your PayPal account. These are my favorite survey sites:
2. Cash back programs
I absolutely love Ebates! Ebates gives you cash back on your online purchases at hundreds of retailers including my go to’s like Amazon and eBay. Sign up through this link and they’ll give you $10 for trying it out! (P.S. For in-store shopping, I use Ibotta to get cash back. Like Ebates, Ibotta will give you $10 just for signing up and checking it out. Use code HQLCTLT to get your bonus.)
I use these cash back programs in conjunction with my cash back Discover It Card to save even more money. This card gives you 5% cash back on revolving categories and 1% cash back on everything else. For the first year, these percentages are doubled to 10% and 2% cash back! (If you’re interested, you can also get a $50 bonus by signing up through this link!)
3. Swagbucks videos & search
In addition to surveys, you can also watch videos and do online searches for cash at Swagbucks. If you have a job where you’re on the computer all day, I highly recommend having Swagbucks open on your browser so you can make a few extra bucks each day! Plus, they start you out with a $5 bonus!
Ok, I wouldn’t call blogging super easy, but it’s a fun side hustle with serious income boosting potential! I put minimal effort into my other blog (I maybe blog once a month) and still pull in at least $500 each month. Sometimes it’s as high as $2,000! If you have more time and energy to devote to blogging, you can easily bring in much more. I know some bloggers who quit their six figure jobs to blog full time. It takes passion, but it’s a fun and profitable hobby, and it’s definitely worth trying out!
Hustle, hustle, hustle
5. Become a virtual assistant
Popular websites and bloggers often hire virtual assistants to help them organize posts, manage social media, edit photos, and do graphic design work. Sign up with a VA site such as Upwork or Freelancer to set up your portfolio and look for jobs.
6. Write for websites
Some of my favorite sites pay people just like you to write articles on a huge variety of topics. Payment ranges from $30 to several hundred dollars per article. These sites currently pay contributors for articles:
• College Humor
• Cooking Detective
• A Fine Parent
• Freelance Mom
• Income Diary
• Money Crashers
• The Dollar Stretcher
• The Sportster
• Transitions Abroad
